Our Client, a world leader in Engineering and Construction is searching for an ENGINEERING MANAGER to be based in Rochester.
The Engineering Manager is a key participant in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling, and performance. Additionally, the ENGINEERING MANAGER is responsible for the identification of schedule and cost variances and the development and implementation of recommendations for corrective action for negative variances within the assigned engineering scope. The ENGINEERING MANAGER is also responsible for monitoring and control of the engineering scope and proactive change management.
oPlan the mobilization and direct the activities of the multi-discipline engineering personnel
oDirect and coordinate technical team members in the preparation of designs, intelligent models, plans and specifications.
oManage and coordinate the progress of the engineering work in accordance with the project scope, schedule.
oMeasure the progress of engineering work packages to ensure that the budgets and schedules are being met. If necessary take corrective action
o Responsible for hiring all personnel within the engineering team, as required.
oBachelors in Electrical Engineering (Power). Masters or equivalent preferred. Experience in Transmission and Distribution industry is essential.
oAt least 10 years of experience in EPCM/EPC engineering management working on projects with capital costs in excess of $250 Million.
o15+ years of total applicable experience including applicable experience prior to engineering management roles.
